The power of truth

Ps 119:130 The entrance of Your words gives light; It gives understanding to the simple.

Religion can never remove sin. Your merits can never cancel out your sinful nature, bad habit or characteristic. Good deeds can never remove bad ones. If a person gets right with God it is not by works, It will be by the power truth of God’s Word so that no one can boast. No religious efforts or experiences - christening, confirmation sacraments, churchgoing, denominations, affiliation, associations - can cancel out a single sin.

Religion can never change men’s sinful nature. A person’s behavior is not only the problem, but is a symptom. The problem and nature of the heart of men is caused by the fall of Adam. Men’s heart is corrupt and depraved. Going to church and taking part in religious ceremonies may make you feel good, but they cannot make you right with God.

Psalms 51:6 Behold, thou desirest truth in the inward parts: and in the hidden part thou shalt make me to know wisdom.

The WORD of TRUTH is not only there to increase our memory banks or intellect.
The WORD of TRUTH is to live by.
The Power of TRUTH saves from sin.
The Power of TRUTH delivers from darkness.
The Power of TRUTH turns hate into love.
The Power of TRUTH turns broken lives into overcoming.
The Power of TRUTH turns sinners into saints.
The Power of TRUTH turns poverty to prosperity.
The Power of TRUTH turns weakness into strength.

Example: Matthew 4:3-10 NKJV Now when the tempter came to Him, he said, “If You are the Son of God, command that these stones become bread.” But He answered and said, “It is written, ‘Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God.’ ” Then the devil took Him up into the holy city, set Him on the pinnacle of the temple, and said to Him, “If You are the Son of God, throw Yourself down. For it is written: ‘He shall give His angels charge over you,’ and, ‘In their hands they shall bear you up, Lest you dash your foot against a stone.’ ” Jesus said to him, “It is written again, ‘You shall not tempt the LORD your God.’ ” Again, the devil took Him up on an exceedingly high mountain, and showed Him all the kingdoms of the world and their glory. And he said to Him, “All these things I will give You if You will fall down and worship me.” Then Jesus said to him, “Away with you, Satan! For it is written, ‘You shall worship the LORD your God, and Him only you shall serve.’ ”

It is so simple but we have missed it or even maybe forgotten. Follow JESUS' example as the Word and Truth!!! Rev Ernest Scott
