Nahum 1:2-3 God is jealous, and the LORD avenges; The LORD avenges
and is furious. The LORD will take vengeance on His adversaries, And
He reserves wrath for His enemies; The LORD is slow to anger and great
in power, And will not at all acquit the wicked. The LORD has His
way In the whirlwind and in the storm, And the clouds are the dust
of His feet.
Psalm 145:8-9 The LORD is gracious and full of compassion, Slow
to anger and great in mercy. The LORD is good to all, And His tender
mercies are over all His works.
God
is not quickly annoyed or angry, but we find in the Scriptures that
He will come again and pour out His wrath upon the unrighteous. Look
at the following scripture verses 2. Peter 3:8-10 But, beloved,
do not forget this one thing, that with the Lord one day is as a thousand
years, and a thousand years as one day. The Lord is not slack concerning
His promise, as some count slackness, but is longsuffering toward
us, not willing that any should perish but that all should come to
repentance. But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night,
in which the heavens will pass away with a great noise, and the elements
will melt with fervent heat; both the earth and the works that are
in it will be burned up.
The Lord is still waiting with His anger. Therefore, work daily on
your salvation. jk
