His Mercy is new every morning

Lamentations 3:22-24 It is of the LORD's mercies that we are not consumed, Because his compassions fail not. They are new every morning: Great is thy faithfulness. The LORD is my portion, saith my soul; Therefore will I hope in him.

Psalm 118:1 Oh, give thanks to the Lord, for He is good! For His mercy endures forever.

It is a good thing to be able to wake up to a brand you day, with the knowledge that His Mercy is new this morning. Whatever happened yesterday, it will never influence the mercy meant for this day. The grace you needed yesterday was for yesterday. You will not be able to waste the mercy meant for the next day.

We have a Norwegian songwriter that wrote a famous song. The text goes like this: You shall receive a day tomorrow, which is clean and unused. With blank pages and colored creyons…

If you messed up your page yesterday, and you were dissatisfied with your drawings… Try again. You have received a new day with blank pages. Gods mercy and faithfulness is new every morning for His people. That means He gives you blank pages for this day. His mercy cleaned yesterdays page. Pastor Gøran Andreassen
