Trust God to rescue you

Acts 7:9-10 “And the patriarchs, becoming envious, sold Joseph into Egypt. But God was with him and delivered him out of all his troubles, and gave him favor and wisdom in the presence of Pharaoh, king of Egypt; and he made him governor over Egypt and all his house.”

2 Timothy 3:11 Persecutions, and sufferings, such as happened to me at Antioch, at Iconium and at Lystra; what persecutions I endured, and out of them all the Lord rescued me!

John 10:9-11 I am the door. If anyone enters by me, he will be saved and will go in and out and find pasture. The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have life and have it abundantly. I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd lays down his life for the sheep.

JosephJoseph is one of many examples of God delivering someone from evil, pain, or a specific situation.

Other words that could be used to help define “delivered” are “rescued,” “saved,” or “escaped.” God’s deliverance can give you hope for daily living.

Jesus taught His followers to pray using words like these: “Don’t bring us into temptation, but “deliver us from the evil.”

What’s an area in your life from which you need to be rescued?

Ask God to deliver you. He’s done it millions of times. He can do it for you. jk
