Matthew 25:23 His lord said unto him, Well done, good and faithful servant; thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler, over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord.

Here in this parable that Jesus gives, it is about the kingdom of heaven. A lord entrusts his servants with various talents. One single talent corresponds to a salary of fifteen years of work, therefore, it was a great amount with which these servants were supposed to work with. Two of them doubled the amount with which they were entrusted, one of them had negative thoughts against his lord and did not do anything with the entrusted money, but instead, he buried it. The servants who had increased His money, received praise from the Lord, "Well done, good and faithful servant; thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler, over many things; enter thou into the joy of thy lord!" The unfaithful, lazy servant was reprimanded by the Lord, and his talents were taken away from him and given to the one who had ten talents, and this unfaithful servant was thrown into outer darkness. Wow, what a tragedy- to be lost for all eternity!

God has given every born again Christian gifts and tasks to fulfill, and every member in the body of Christ has a function. It is not about just being active and busy, but rather, being busy doing the will of God. When we are filled with the Holy Spirit, and our sins are washed away in the water baptism in the name of Jesus, then God has done something great in our lives; and the least that we can do is to tell others about it and pray for them, so that they will also receive faith and hope for eternal life. The heartbeat of Jesus is to seek and save that which is lost. We, as His followers, should share the same desire as our Lord. Laziness, negligence, or apathy are dangerous in the kingdom of God and do not bring blessings. We should always search ourselves again and again and check to see whether we are pleasing God, and that we are faithful. All that really counts is being acknowledged by Him.

God Himself took on human form, and on the cross at Calvary He gave the greatest thing which He could give, this being- His life. Without His work on the cross, not one person would have hope. Paul recognized that he is a debtor to the Greeks and the non-Greeks, to the wise and the unwise. He did the work of God -not out of duty, but rather out of love to Jesus Christ and due to his passion for the gospel. He knew what it was all about and he had set his priorities right. He had eternity set before him, and he wanted to hear the words from the One who first loved him and us, "Well done, good and faithful servant; thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler, over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord!" Matthew 25:23

No matter what price we have to pay, we want to make sure that everything is OK between God and us! ra
