According to His mercy He saved us -Titus 3:5-

Psalm 123 Unto You I lift up my eyes, O You who dwell in the heavens. Behold, as the eyes of servants look to the hand of their masters, As the eyes of a maid to the hand of her mistress, so our eyes look to the LORD our God, until He has mercy on us. Have mercy on us, O LORD, have mercy on us! For we are exceedingly filled with contempt. Our soul is exceedingly filled with the scorn of those who are at ease, with the contempt of the proud.

Matthew 5:7 Blessed are the merciful, for they shall obtain mercy.

Mercy is showing compassion or empathy. It’s given by God to meet the needs of His people and to care for them. No one has ever earned or deserved it.

Mercy starts with God. God shows mercy to us as His followers because He has compassion and cares for us. But mercy doesn’t stop with God! We can and must also express mercy to others in need. James 2:13 For judgment is without mercy to the one who has shown no mercy. Mercy triumphs over judgment.

Can you think of one person who is in need of your mercy? How can you show this person mercy today? And don’t let us forget to thank God daily for His mercy. jk

In Matthew 18:21-35 you can read the Parable of the Unmerciful Servant. We have given so much mercy by God, we must pass it on. Mercy is a MUST!
