Faith that works

Hebrews 11:1-6 Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. For by it the elders obtained a good testimony. By faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that the things which are seen were not made of things which are visible. By faith Abel offered to God a more excellent sacrifice than Cain, through which he obtained witness that he was righteous, God testifying of his gifts; and through it he being dead still speaks. By faith Enoch was taken away so that he did not see death, "and was not found, because God had taken him"; for before he was taken he had this testimony, that he pleased God. But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.

What is faith? Faith is a substance, it’s a “now force”. Faith is partnering with the invisible God. It is obeying God to prove that you believe Him. Faith is taking God at His word. If God has spoken, so let it be. Allow the Word of God to be the final authority in your life. Together with God, you form an unbeatable team. The consciousness of God being with you makes you winner in the race of life.

The faith that works must be personal faith. Faith is a personal adventure, not a joint adventure. Faith that works must be the faith that comes from the heart. Your heart is the resting place of faith. Salvation is “one on one with God”. Faith is not conferrable; it will be done to you according to your faith. It is personal faith that gives birth to testimonies. Things happen to each person according to his or her faith. If you believe that it is possible, then nothing can stop it. God does not operate by public opinion but by your faith. Read Luke l7: l9.

Romans l0:17 says: “Faith comes by hearing and hearing by the Word of God”. The second hearing connotes understanding, so then faith comes by hearing and understanding the Word of God. Read Math. 13:23. Those that bring forth fruits are those that receive the Word and understand it, some hundred, some sixty and some thirty fold. They bring forth fruits according to how they understood the Word. So faith comes by hearing and understanding the Word of God.

What you do with what you hear is very important. It is not about what we preach or what you hear, it’s about what we practice. In Acts 8:30 Philip asks the Ethiopian Eunuch: “Understandest thou what thou readest ? And He said, how can I except some man should guide me?”. And from the same chapter he was reading, which is found in Isaiah 53, Philip led him to salvation. He helped him to understand the Word of God.

God has placed in the body of Christ “Apostles, Prophets, Evangelist, Pastors and Teachers, for the perfecting of the understanding of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ. Till we all come in the unity of Faith and of the knowledge of the son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature and of the fullness of Christ.” Eph.4:11-14

Faith comes by hearing and understanding the Word of God from those that are called by God. The call of God is not the call of man. There are self made preachers. Your faith can not grow by sitting under them. The Bible says that HE will give you Pastors after his own heart, which shall feed you with knowledge and understanding. Jer 3, 15.

All the heroes of faith that are listed in Hebrew 11 obeyed God to prove that they believe Him. Abraham obeyed God and was called a friend of God. Noah obeyed God and built an ark for the saving of his house hold.

So we see that faith is obeying God to prove that you believe Him. Let’s all believe God and act upon our faith. And we will see Him move mightily in our lives. Give God praise in the House of GOD: AMEN! oo
